100 followers! I welcome you, oh lovely ones :)

I should be studying at the moment. I really, really should. The guilt is killing me.
What is distracting me so much, you ask?
The computer. Maybe I should chuck it out...
NEVER! It is much to dear.

I watched Pride and Prejudice yesterday! Okay I know what your thinking- I'm very late when it comes to movies but hey, it's the hols which is when I like to catch up with movies studying. Ahem.

Any who, I love this story. I read most of the book, 'cause I hate watching a movie without reading the book first. By 'most of the book', I mean that I attempted to read it but then ended up skipping a few or more pages to the important bits. Atleast I tried. Well, back to the movie, I absolutely LOVED it. And it didn't have all the intimate scenes with alot of kissing that most movies of its genre have. It was romantic in a subtle, formal way which I really liked.

The casting was perfect, Keira Knightly made a fabulous Elizabeth Bennet, whose witty remarks make her a really strong female character that we desperately need more of in modern literature- what with some girls looking up to Bella Bitch Swan now, I mean COME ON. I think the last female characters I read and that I actually liked, were Hermione from the Harry Potter Series and Gemma Doyle from the Gemma Doyle Trilogy. We. Need. More.

I didn't really like Mr. Darcy at the beginning of the film, nor the actor who played him because he came across as somewhat robotic- but then I realised that that is Darcy. And that he's one of those characters that grow on you throughout the film and book! He became very charming once into the movie, specially at the end, "You have bewitched me, body and soul and from this day on I wish to never be parted from you.
I love, I love... I love you."
Nawwhhhhh....
I especially liked the scene where Mr. Bingley is practicing his proposal to Jane with Mr. Darcy:
Mr. Bingly: Ms. Bennet
Mr. Darcy: (Bows) Mr.Bingly

Oh and by the way, I'm going to the zoo tomorrow! I haven't been to one since my Grade 1 excursion, and since then my fondness of animals has sort of 'worn off' so I'm hoping it will be fun and not scary...
Till next time :)

NEVER GIVE UP

The road that is built in hope is more pleasant to the traveler than the road built in despair, even though they both lead to the same destination.
